Albertina Carri (b. Buenos Aires, 1973) is an Argentine film director, screenwriter and actress. ==Biography== Carri was born in Buenos Aires in 1973. She was orphaned after her parents' abduction by the National Reorganization Process on February 24, 1977. She directed her first film in 2000, ''No quiero volver a casa'', a drama starring Martín Churba, Manuel Callau and Margara Alonso. Her 2003 docu-drama ''Los rubios'' garnered critical acclaim, winning her the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema Audience Award and Special Mention, and the Clarin Award for Best Documentary in 2003. Openly lesbian and married to Marta Dillon, several of her films have overt LGBT themes such as ''Barbie también puede eStar triste'' (2001) and minor undertones in ''Géminis'' (2005). In 2008 she directed the drama ''La rabia'' (''Anger''), starring Analía Couceyro, Javier Lorenzo, and Víctor Hugo Carrizo. The film is stated to be a dark exploration into "children's emotional processing of their parents' oppressively violent and sexually charged environment" in the Argentine countryside.
